Our Partners

Colleges & Universities

Inspire Academy students benefit from connections with multiple colleges and universities early in their educational journey.  In addition to these close partnerships, Inspire Academy students visit a variety of colleges during their elementary and middle school years to build comfort and a sense of belonging on college campuses.

Inspire Academy has a charter contract with Education One at Trine University.  Trine University provides support and accountability through instructional leadership coaching, governance training, data dashboards, and a variety of initiatives led by college students that connect with our K-8 students.

Inspire Academy, originally chartered through BSU, continues to work closely with Ball State University through faculty leading immersive learning experiences that bring college students to Inspire Academy to support our students and staff, the development of a peer-tutoring writing center at Inspire Academy, professional development, and student teachers.

Ivy Tech students routinely complete education practicum hours in Inspire classrooms, supporting our teachers and students through tutoring and a variety of forms of classroom assistance.

High Schools

The Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, one of the nations top high schools, brings advanced high school students to tutor Inspire Academy middle school students weekly in mathematics to ensure high school readiness and support a culture of achievement.

Inspire Academy coordinates with Muncie Central High School to ensure students and families understand all that is required for a successful transition from middle school to high school.

Health & Nutrition Organizations

Open Door Health Services provides routine, free dental, hearing, and vision screenings to our students and families, as well as information services and vaccination clinics.

Second Harvest Food Bank hosts monthly Big Idea events at Inspire Academy.  Big Idea events create an opportunity to connect school staff, families, career presenters, and local organizations to ultimately benefit the entire community. Caregivers, students, and school staff learn about ways to improve the social/emotional/wellness factors that positively impact a student’s learning environment.  All of these pieces join together to form one Big Idea. The Big Idea that our children, families, schools, and communities thrive when we all work together to support and encourage everyone’s individual talents and dreams.

Healthy Lifestyle Center provides healthy living resources through newsletters, intersession nutrition programming, and other health awareness programming.

Churches & Faith-Based Organizations

Inspire Academy was birthed out of the community development initiatives of Urban Light Community Church and benefits from ongoing support from this community of faith through teacher care packages and prayer, winter outerwear donations, and holiday food baskets.

Other Community Organizations

Inspire Academy partners closely with Muncie Public Libraries to ensure students have the opportunity to check out, receive, and return books directly at school. This partnership ensures that transportation or financial resources are not a barrier for children to access unlimited books to build a love for reading.

Boys and Girls Club and Motivate our Minds provide transportation directly from Inspire Academy to their locations in the city for families who choose to participate in programming with these organizations.  Inspire Academy personnel are in close communication with these organizations so that families and staff are aware of and have access to a variety of community programs and resources.
